Intro

Hey everyone, I hope all is going well with all of you and that you are gearing up for a great summer of Ubuntu freshness.  I've been playing around with Jaunty and so far I like.  Not everything was perfect as I explain in the podcast.  Forn one thing, I was unable to get Compiz going.  But eventually found a fix for it which I blogged about.  But, also, the laptop runs a bit hotter than usual, and believe me it isn't because I am a real power user with tons of apps running in the background.  There are several issues involved for sure that I am still investigating but I can live with the heat for now.  Just keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't ruin the trusty ol' laptop.  Well, I hope you enjoy the podcast and feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email or even tweet me on twitter, bye.

Go Ubuntu One!

I have been waiting for Canonical to offer something like this. What took them so long? In this early phase of beta testing they are offering a file sync service, which naturally gets compared to Dropbox, for now. I currently use Dropbox and it has worked flawlessly. It's early days for Ubuntu One so be patient, more services on the way.

I fully support Ubuntu One. I have read many complaints from the vocal minority (?) but I hope that wiser heads will prevail.

Good podcast, keep them coming.
