Shownotes

Hello there, welcome to the companion website of the Fresh Ubuntu Podcast!  First off Happy New Year and continued good fortune to you and hope you like what you see.  Second, if you follow linux and specifically Ubuntu, you no doubt might be saddened by the behaviour of some users toward a particular college student who had trouble with her Ubuntu computer.  Let me be frank for one moment and say that most linux users and nearly all Ubuntu users are quite helpful and overall nicer than what has been depicted/displayed by an extremely small fraction of our user base.  In fact, if you are an Ubuntu user and have gone so far as to join the main Ubuntu Forum you have agreed to abide by the "Ubuntu Code of Conduct".  So anything less than this is a violation of the code sorry to say.  True, that there may be no such thing as bad publicity, but that is besides the point, many users of Ubuntu have felt the sting of elitist behaviour which is why Ubuntu attracts new users with every release.  I hope in the future we can save ourselves this type of publicity of which I for one am deeply disappointed.  Nuff said:
